Trail Running with Adventure Trails

Trail running is growing in popularity and for good reason. Why pound the monotony of the tarmac and breathe in vehicle fumes when you can get out into nature and explore new routes. England and Wales are covered in 140,000 miles of public rights of way and in Scotland you can go where you like (within reason of course!). You can head to beautiful areas such as our National Parks or you can explore locally. Every single corner of Britain has nearby trails waiting for you. It is such a great way to explore the British countryside.

Adventure Trails can help you know where to go and how to plan your route. This is from the comfort of your own home! Adventure Trails run an online navigation for trail runners masterclass. This will give you the skills to plan your routes and navigate the trails. Click below for more details.

This can be complemented by a Navigation for Trail Runners practical session which is a half day session of putting your theory into practice. Either module can be done on its own. These sessions will be delivered by Sean Bolland of Adventure Trails. Sean is an orienteer, mountain marathoner, navigation coach and trail runner with over 35 years’ of experience.

Coming soon – Adventure Trails will offer two and three day FastPacking adventures in the beautiful Lake District. There is simply no better way to get away from it all for a few days.

Adventure Trails also organise an annual trail race, The Race2Remember, a 5 mile loop around Nicky Nook Fell in beautiful North Lancashire. This is a popular and must do event on the trail race calendar. The event is in aid of the Alzheimers drug research charity, Defying Dementia.
